Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of websites, software, APIs, applications, research systems, documentation, and related services operated by Orain Labs.
1. Scope of Services
Orain Labs develops artificial intelligence, computational geometry, engineering software, and related technologies.
Our technology portfolio includes ORAIN — The Geometric Intelligence and associated systems, including PAXX, the Engineering Reasoning Engine (ERE), Geometric Engine, ORAIN Forge, and Visualization Sub-Engine (VSE).
Certain services may be provided as production services, research systems, experimental technologies, APIs, previews, demonstrations, or other forms of software. Additional product-specific or contractual terms may apply to particular services.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use Orain Labs services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Access or use services without appropriate authorization.
- Circumvent authentication, access controls, security mechanisms, or usage restrictions.
- Attempt to compromise, disrupt, overload, or interfere with our systems or infrastructure.
- Introduce malicious code, malware, or other harmful material.
- Use our services to violate applicable law or regulation.
- Infringe intellectual-property, confidentiality, privacy, or other rights.
- Use automated systems to abuse or materially degrade our services.
- Attempt to extract protected source code, models, system prompts, credentials, or proprietary technology except where expressly permitted.
- Use generated engineering outputs in consequential applications without appropriate professional review and validation.
3. Artificial Intelligence and Engineering Outputs
Orain Labs services may use machine-learning models, artificial intelligence, computational geometry, deterministic engineering software, and other automated systems.
AI-generated or computational outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or unexpected behavior.
Engineering outputs must therefore be independently reviewed, verified, and validated by appropriately qualified personnel before use in manufacturing, simulation, safety-critical applications, regulatory submissions, or other consequential environments.
Orain Labs technology is intended to augment engineering workflows and engineering expertise; it does not transfer professional responsibility from the user to the system.
4. Research and Experimental Systems
Some Orain Labs technologies may be experimental or under active development. Experimental systems may have limitations relating to accuracy, availability, performance, interoperability, or reliability and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued as research progresses.
Any service identified as experimental, prototype, beta, research, or preview should be treated accordingly.
5. Customer and User Content
You retain ownership of content and information that you lawfully submit to an Orain Labs service, subject to any rights expressly granted under a separate agreement. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions, and authority to submit such content.
Orain Labs may process submitted information as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, operate, and support the applicable service, subject to our Privacy Policy and any applicable contractual commitments.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in Orain Labs software, models, algorithms, APIs, documentation, architecture, research, trademarks, designs, and other proprietary materials remain with Orain Labs or its licensors unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. These Terms do not grant ownership of Orain Labs intellectual property.
7. Third-Party Infrastructure and Services
Orain Labs may rely on third-party infrastructure, cloud platforms, APIs, software libraries, security services, communications services, and other technology providers. Such services may include infrastructure and services provided by third-party cloud and technology providers.
Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider's separate contractual terms, acceptable-use requirements, service terms, and policies. Orain Labs does not assume responsibility for independent third-party services outside our reasonable control.
8. Security and Availability
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect our services and information. However, no internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available.
Service availability, maintenance windows, service limitations, and applicable service levels may differ between products and commercial agreements.
9. Changes to Services
Orain Labs is a research and technology company. Accordingly, services may evolve over time. We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue particular features or services where reasonably necessary for development, security, legal compliance, maintenance, or product evolution.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to:
- Protect our users, systems, or infrastructure.
- Prevent abuse or unauthorized activity.
- Address security incidents.
- Comply with applicable legal requirements.
- Investigate violations of these Terms.
11. Disclaimer
Except where expressly provided otherwise in a written agreement, services are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee that AI-generated outputs, engineering representations, APIs, or software will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for every particular use case.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Orain Labs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to use of the services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
